Best Pedicure Polish Ever...Flip Flop Fantasy!

I know this has been out for awhile but it is a new discovery for me.  It is part of the 2010 Poolside Collection by China Glaze.  I would describe it as a pink/coral neon, the swatches don't do it justice.

Here it is on my hands.

I like it better on my toes!

This, in my opinion, is a must have summer polish.  It would look good on anyone!

China Glaze Sunsational Cremes

China Glaze Sunsational Cremes is a 6 piece collection consisting of only cremes, with an array of colours.  Just looking at them makes me smile and think of summer!  I tried them without top coat...yuck!  So, I added top coat to them all :)

Neon & On & On is a pink that definitely has some coral, as you can see.  I achieved full opacity with 2 coats and no streaking. This one reminds me of Flip Flop Fantasy, also by China Glaze.

Highlight of My Summer is a bright minty green.  I achieved full opacity with 2 coats, but was streaky so I added an extra coat. Pretty polish!

Sun of a Peach is a pastel peach but neon...if that makes sense? Great coverage in 3 coats.

That’s Shore Bright is a beautiful purple very warm for a bright colour.  I had a heck of a time with streaking!

Bottoms Up is a typical Barbie pink and boy was it streaky, as you can clearly see in the picture!  I love this colour because of it's cool undertones but the application was a disappointment.

Too Yacht to Handle is a brighter version of For Audrey, also from China Glaze.  Great colour, but again with the streaking.

I really like the colours and I like that they are all creme.  The application was very frustrating with some of them.  My favorites are Sun of a Peach and Neon & On & On.  I would recommend this collection, but beware of the streaking.

Just a quick shout out to a newly discovered online store Phoenix Beauty Lounge.  They sell nail polish, nail art supplies and cosmetics.  The prices are spot on with many discounts and the customer service is exceptional.

A England's Saint George

Saint George from A England is a beautiful dark teal with holographic shimmer.  One of my fellow bloggers recommended this polish and I was not disappointed, it is fantastic!  Application was great with 2 coats, but was actually opaque in 1 coat. Although this is on the higher-end price wise, it is definitely worth it.

Saint George is a part of the 7 polish Legend collection.  Might have to take a look at the remaining 6 polishes!

Not Your Mother's Avon - Part 3

Sadly no Random Manicure Monday…my nails are ‘nubbins.’  They all seemed to break at the same time and both hands :(

I picked up 3 Avon Speed Dry +30.

Fast Time Teal is a beautiful darker teal crème.

Orange You Quick is a bright orange crème.

Turquoise Pop is a light turquoise crème.  It is nothing new…very similar to the popular For Audrey by China Glaze.

These are pretty good quality polishes, but they definitely don’t dry in 30 seconds!  Application was great, full opacity with 2 coats.

Indie Polish

Today I have 2 more great polishes from Indie Polish. This Canadian company makes handmade unique nail polish.

Frog Prince is a dark mossy green with gold shimmer.  The picture does not do the polish justice…the gold shimmer is beautiful!  It was opaque with 2 thin coats.

Kaboom is another `party on my nails` polish.  I can`t decide if it is more purple-plum or dark pink.  It is a clear based polish packed full of plum and dark pink micro glitter.  I did lay down 1 coat of OPI Eurso Euro before applying 2 coats of Kaboom.

Also remember that their:

"Nail polish is made using a 3-free base and is cruelty-free. NO Dibutyl Phthalate, NO Formaldehyde and NO Toluene. And we only test them on ourselves and our friends."

Deborah Lippmann's Let's Go Crazy

Let’s Go Crazy is a dark purple-base jelly polish with red, green, blue, gold, light purple and fuchsia glitter of round and hexagon shapes. Coverage is good for a glitter polish as it is very thick. The glitter actually sits below the surface so it gives the ‘jelly sandwich manicure’ look.

I just love the look of this glitter packed polish!

Essie

I picked up some Essie polishes from a great Canadian seller on eBay.

Bachelorette Bash is a vibrant fuchsia creme.

Fear or Desire is an orange creme.  The name really seems appropriate...you either fear the colour or desire the colour!

Soul Mate is a nice dark wine colour, leaning towards brown.  The picture doesn't do this polish justice, I just could not get a good picture.

As usual, you just can't seem to go wrong with Essie polishes!

Not Your Mother's Avon - Part 2

Happy Sunday!

This is my first experience with suede nail polish.  I picked up Fuchsia Feel from Avon.

Topcoat

The polish went on great and was opaque with two coats.  I think if you like matte this would be your polish.  I myself am a tried and true shine lover!

Indie Polish

Here are a couple of great polishes from Indie Polish.  It is a Canadian company that makes unique handmade nail polish.

Finding Dory is a blue and neon yellow micro glitter.  I applied 2 coats after applying 1 coat of Pure Ice in Wild Thing as a base. Initially I thought it was green, but it is definitely a neon yellow. This is like a party on your nails!

Finding Nemo is an orange and blue micro glitter.  Again I applied a base coat (Revlon Mysterious) under 2 coats of Finding Nemo. The orange really pops in this polish.

They are not only great polishes, the service and shipping was excellent…so much so, there are 2 more coming my way :)

Not Your Mother's Avon - Part 1

Here are 2 of the Cosmic polishes from Avon.  They are described as 'stardust luster finish' polishes with a 'holographic pearl effect.'  I describe them as fabulous.  Application was great, opaque with 2 coats.

Aurora is a pretty purple.  The holo is a pink/silver.

Galaxy is a blue leaning towards a teal.  The holo is white/silver.

These are great polishes.  If you can get your hands on some of the Cosmic polishes from Avon, you will not be disappointed.  I would definitely recommend these.

PS:  The brush is normal, no huge brush...YAY!

Peaches, Corals and Oranges

I have a love/hate relationship with peach/coral/orange polish.  I really like the colour, but find that most of them just don’t compliment my skin tone.   I am Pale and PROUD so peach is a tough shade to pull off with my cool-red undertones.  Here are three I have tried.

China Glaze Peachy Keen

Julep Gloria

Sation Love at First Byte

I am trying to branch out with colours so I have picked up 4 more peach/coral/orange colours, but have yet to swatch them.  Do you have a shade that you don’t think compliments your skin tone or just don't like?

OPI Couture de Minnie Collection 2013

I picked up 3 of the 5 polishes from the OPI Couture de Minnie Collection.

A Definite Moust-Have is a beautiful fuchsia red/pink.  I would describe it as a dark watermelon shade.  It went on nice, achieving full opacity with 2 coats. It is definitely a must have :)

Chic From Ears To Tail is a bubble gum pink with a slight silver shimmer.  I had difficulty with this one, it was opaque with 3 coats but very streaky.

Minnie Style is a cute clear base glitter polish with pink, white and red hex glitter.

Who doesn't like Minnie Mouse...I think this is an adorable collection.

PS:  Don't you think Minnie Style will be great for a Canada Day manicure?

Blue Dupe

I stumbled upon a dupe in my collection that I had to share.

I was in the mood for a bright blue manicure so I went looking in my collection.  I came up with Sally Hansen ‘Blue me Away’ or Rimmel London 60 seconds ‘Blue my Mind.’  In my opinion these are almost an exact match. The only difference is the dry time. What do you think?

Essie's DJ Play That Song

DJ Play That Song is part of Essie's Neon 2013 collection.
Not sure if I bought this polish for the name or the colour.   Let me start off by saying I don’t consider it neon…so I didn't use a white base coat.  It is a purple-violet colour and would match just about any skin tone.  I personally think this is a jelly polish; I applied 3 coats and found it streaky.  Next time I use this polish I will try the white base coat.  Love the colour!

PS:  Zoya is coming out with a Fall 2013 Pixie Dust collection!
