Loaded Lacquer's Condemned

Condemned is part of Loaded Lacquer's Zombie Hayride collection.  It is a linear holographic, black jelly based polish with yellow microflakes.  It was completely opaque in 3 coats and I applied a top coat.  What a beauty in the sun this polish is!!

This is another beauty from Loaded Lacquer.  It is a clear based glitter with gold, silver, bronze, gunmetal and rose gold hex and dots. It was completely opaque with 3 coats!  I used it as an accent nail with OPI's Love, Angel, Music Baby, Orly's Rage and Revlon's Silver Dollar.

It's like bling on your nails!!

OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark and Nubar 2010

My fav go to polish for fall and winter is OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark!  Being a cult classic, it is a beauty to apply, almost opaque with 1 coat.  I topped it off with Nubar's 2010...it is a beautiful flaky topper!

Both are great polishes, but if you like dark vampy colours Lincoln Park After Dark is a must for your collection.

Garnier Fructis Color Shield

I am not normally very impressed with shampoo or conditioner as long as it is gentle and won't strip the colour out of my hair, as I colour my hair every 6 weeks.  I really like this trio of products.  I coloured my hair the first week in September and have used the Garnier Fructis Colour Shield products since then and I think my hair has done really well.  The Garnier Fructis Colour Shield shine & care leave-in conditioner for colour treated hair is my favourite, there is so much shine without the greasiness...love!

I would so recommend this for someone with coloured treated hair!

Loaded Lacquer's Get Lei'd

I have been wearing this beauty on my toes for most of the summer...so I thought I would give it a shot on my fingers!  Not too bad with my fair skin.

Get Lei'd has a neon orange/coral jelly base with violet and blue micro shimmer.  I achieved opacity in 3 coats.

#summernorules - RECREATION OF BFF'S MANI

This is the final manicure in the #summernorules challenge and it is a recreation of BFF's mani.  Well...I couldn't just pick one so I have two recreations, one from @darkntwistynails (Anca) and @thepolishedbutterfly (Jaime).

For the recreation of Anca's manicure I used OPI's You're so Vain-illa, OPI's I Just Can't Cope-acabana, China Glaze's That's Shore Bright, China Glaze's Peonies & Park Ave and Essie's Strut Your Stuff.

For the recreation of Jaime's manicure I used China Glaze's White on White and With Love.

The Beach is today's theme in the #summernorules nail challenge.  This is a total cop-out on my part...for some reason I would rather be outside enjoying the weather than creating nail art...so this is the best I could do! 

This is Essie's Strut Your Stuff and is from the Haute in the Heat 2014 Summer collection.  It is a stunning blue that reminds me of water, hence the beach.

#summernorules - FAV NEON

This is the tenth manicure in the #summernorules nail art challenge.  I picked up Orly's Melt Your Popsicle after I saw it on Anca over at DarknTwistyNails...you should definitely go check her out she is awesome!!

It is a beautiful neon orange and is from the 2012 Summer Vibe collection.  Of course it dries matte, so I went with that and kept it matte.  Boy oh boy I think it took close to 4 coats over a base of white  to get full coverage without streaks.  I really like this polish, but normally don't wear a neon as a manicure, more as a pedicure polish.

I had an accident and the nail on my left index finger was close to completely ripped off :(  So as you can see I am using my right hand to swatch with...not the best manicure but the best I could do!

While ice cream is good, I much prefer sherbet.  My favourite is Blue Rasberry Sherbet from Baskin-Robbins.

Blue Skies is a creamy pastel blue crelly-based polish with blue, grey and white multi-sized glitter.  What a fun Spring/Summer polish and somewhat similar to my fav sherbert!!

#summernorules - CANADA DAY !!

Happy Canada Day!  This is the 5th manicure of the #summernorules.

You can't wrong with a mixture of red and white.  For this manicure I used Essie's Blanc, China Glaze's With Love and Julep's O'Canada.  The vinyl maple leaf is from Beyond the Nail and they have a crap ton of nail decals, so worth checking them out!

#summernorules - FAVOURITE SUMMER GLITTER

This manicure is Favourite Summer Glitter.  I find it next to impossible for me to pick a fav...I love them all.  I would say this is my current fav, but I just got my hands on 2 more glitter polishes from Loaded Lacquer.

Iris My Case is a beautiful KB Shimmer polish.  It is a purple based glitter and is filled with glitters in pink, purple, white, periwinkle and blue.  I achieved full opacity with 3 coats...very easy to work with.

The 3rd manicure of #summernorules is Strawberries!!  Strawberries are at their peak this time of year in Southern Ontario and the best part is there are many many farms close by to pick your own.  Pick one then eat one...lol

I used OPI's Jade is the New Black and Red Hot Rio, along with a white nail art striper.

First Day of Summer

#summernorules - FIRST DAY OF SUMMER

YAY, it is the first day of summer and the first day of the #summernorules Manicure Challenge.  Summer is my favourite season, by far and I love the hot humid summer weather and the beautiful flowers that only grow this time of year.

For my 'First Day of Summer' manicure I went simple and picked a polish that reminded me of the many purple flowers in my gardens.  This is KB Shimmer's Daisy About You and it is from their Spring 2014 collection.  It is a pale green crelly polish with neon green, lavender & purple hex glitter and lavender daisy glitter!  It was a dream to work with... 3 coats and was opaque.
