#summernorules - FAV NEON

Put your sunglasses on because today's theme is NEON.

Initially I was just going to use Finger Paints Silkscreen Green...one of my favorite neons. It is from the 2012 Summer Neon collection. It is an eye catching, bright neon green. I should have used a white base, but instead I used 3 coats for opacity.

I decided to jazz it up a bit and add some flowers and such. I used:

#summernorules - NATIONAL PINK DAY

Think pink today, whether it is a shirt, nail polish or your fav scarf! Of course I chose nail polish. This is Sinful Color's 24/7. It is a neon pink that dries matte, but I used top coat. It was opaque with 2 coats.

#summernorules - FIRST DAY OF SUMMER

YAY, it is the first day of Summer and the first day of the #summernorules Manicure Challenge. Summer is my favourite season, by far and I love the hot humid Summer weather and the beautiful flowers that only grow this time of year.

For my 'First Day of Summer' mani, I decided to do some abstract flowers and of course I chose 2 shades of purple ;) I used KB Shimmer's Sarong Place, Sarong Time and OPI's Steady as She Rose.

Zoya's Godiva

I thought I would cleanse my palate for the upcoming #summernorules nail art challenge! I chose Zoya's Godiva, a Pixie Dust from early 2013. It is a textured nude/beige that is rather sheer, achieving opacity with 3 coats. I love the sparkle :)

Another KB Shimmer creme from the 28 piece Summer 2015 collection...this is In Yacht Water. A beautiful blue creme with a splash of green, very similar to Essie's In The Cabana. Opaque with 2 coats.

KB Shimmer's Lei It Again

This is Lei It Again from KB Shimmer! It is a muted neon electric pink that has a wonderful formula, achieving full opacity with 2 coats. Lei It Again is part of the large 28 polish 2015 Summer collection.

I always swore I would never buy creme indie polishes, but this was so stunning I had to have it. I am so happy I did, best creme formula I have ever used!!

Yep, another green! This is Partners in Lime from KB Shimmer. It is from the Early Summer 2014 collection. It is a very dense textured lime polish with gold, green and aqua glitter. I achieved opacity with 2 coats. It is so colourful!

OPI's You Are So Outta Lime

This is OPI's You Are So Outta Lime and is a beautiful bright green from the 2014 Neon collection. I would say this is not a neon, but that's just my opinion. Regardless, I love this polish...it is a tad tricky to apply, but I eventually got it opaque with 3 coats and a top coat!

Orly's Lemonade & OPI's In True Stefani Fashion

I love yellow, but I have a hard time finding one that looks half decent with my skin tone. This is Orly's Lemonade with OPI's In True Stefani Fashion as a topper. Lemonade is from the 2010 Spring Sweet collection and has a great formula, being opaque with 3 coats. In True Stefani Fashion is from the January 2014 collection and is a clear based glitter with both tiny and large silver glitter.
