#springnorules - PICNIC

The final manicure in the Spring Thaw Nail Art Challenge is picnic.  This was probably the most difficult to do for me.  I finally decided to go with a red & white gingham table cloth and ants.  Well...the table cloth worked out pretty good, but when I tried the ant, it was horrible and I just couldn't get it to work.  So...I went with random dots.

I used Loaded Lacquer's Coconut, OPI's Red Hot Rio, Sally Hansen's White On and Orly's Goth.

This concludes the no rules Spring Thaw Nail Art Challenge.

#xmasnorules - SANTA CLAUS !!

This is the final manicure in the No Rules Christmas Mani Challenge .  Santa Claus to me is red & white and because of my very short nails I had very few options, not a lot of space for nail art. The Santa hat didn't turn out too bad.

I used Sally Hansen's White On, China Glaze's Angel Wings, Wet n' Wild Fergie in Glamorous and Sinful Color's Sugar Sugar.

YAY... candy canes!!  My fav candy canes are fruit flavoured, but I wouldn't turn my nose up at any flavour :)

I made my own red and green nail polish stripes...while it is easy to do, it is time consuming!  I did the same technique in another challenge in October, here!  I use Sally Hansen's White Out, Indie Polish in Frog Prince and China Glaze's With Love & Fairy Dust.

Next up is a Gift!!  Hopefully the nubbins will grow a bit more.

31DC2013: Day 30 is A TUTORIAL

This is the final day of the 30 day challenge and it is A Tutorial.  I am not a big TV watcher, but I never miss Dexter and sadly it is all done :(  This is a finger print manicure in memory of the show :<)  I used Sally Hansen's White On (need a new bottle) and Joe Fresh's Cabernet.  I initially saw this manicure on Pinterest with no link to the creator, so I did a quick search and found many links to follow!!

I think this challenge has been a great learning experience and has forced me to try some new nail art that I have been avoiding :)  It has also been fun to see everyone else's creations!

31DC2013: Day 20 is my NON WATER MARBLE

Well this was a total fail for me!!  I had the technique down great, but when it came to cleaning up my cuticles, it was impossible and it made the mani look horrible.  I tried several times and finally gave up :( and I may have sworn and thrown some stuff...

In lieu of water marbling I tried the acrylic paint technique with pastel colours.  It didn't turn out too bad.  But look at those cuticles...bleh!!!!!
