Color Club's Total Mystery

Total Mystery is from the 2011 Alter Ego collection.  It is a bright blue polish with pink/purple microglitter.  It was difficult to work with, requiring 3 coats to achieve opacity. It was matte and I really didn't like the look so I put a coat of Seche Vite.  I wish I could have picked up the purple/pink microglitter in the pics.

Great polish, but a little difficult to work with...but totally worth it ;)

Color Club's The Uptown !

The Uptown is a purple jelly based multi-coloured flakie polish.  I think you could achieve opacity, or close to opacity, but I put it on top of China Glaze's Scandalous Shenanigans, a beautiful sapphire blue. I love the effect of of this flakie.

This is the only polish I picked up from the 2013 Fall Girl About Town collection...the remaining ones never really caught my eye.

31DC2013: Day 19 is GALAXIES

It is kind of amazing that you use a handful of polishes and come up with something so cool.  I used China Glaze's Sea Spray, OPI's Suzi's Hungry Again, Sally Hansen's Black Out, Revlon's Stunning and Color Club First Looks.

Head on over to Instagram and follow some fellow nail enthusiasts/Bloggers create some fantastic manicures for 30 days.  #31DC2013

Winter Affair by Color Club

I picked up these 4 minis from the 2012 Winter Affair collection from Color Club.

First up is Gift of Sparkle.  It is a shimmery purple based glitter with purple & red micro holographic glitter.  It has a lot going on...I love it!!

Berry & Bright is a red that has a glass fleck finish.  The shine is really intense.  Another winner.

Ho Ho Holly is a very rich green-gold foil polish.  Lovely!

Snowflakes is a flaky polish.  I put it over China Glaze's Call of the Wild.  Great Fall manicure.

I was really glad I picked these up, very impressive.  Great Winter/Holiday season polishes.

Port-folio another duochrome in purple green.  Opaque in 2 coats.

Model Behavior is a copper shimmer very bronzy.  Opaque in 2 coats.

These were great polishes to apply and what a great colour payoff!  Would recommend!

Blossoming Collection by Color Club

This collection includes 5 creme pastel colours and a silver glitter. It also included 0-60 speedy top coat.  While I loved the colours of this collection, I struggled with the application.  I had trouble with the leveling and hence the visible lines, as you can see in the pictures.

'Blushing Rose' is a blue-based light pink.  This was the most difficult to apply, yet one of my favs of the lot.  I tried a top coat to see if that would make a difference with the non-leveling and streakiness, it did not.

'Blue-ming' is far from blue.  It is a unique lighter turqouise shade. My favorite.

'Hydrangea Kiss' is a pretty periwinkle.

'Lavendarling' is a light purple.  I have several very similar shades.

'Sweetpea' is a rosy purple.

'Diamond Drops' is a shard like glitter that I put over Sweetpea.

Would recommend this set based solely on the colours, but beware it is not an easy application patience is necessary! Something I don't usually possess :)

Blue-ming from Color Club

Color Club's Blue-ming is another beautiful colour!  The formula is pretty good, some nails it took 3 coats for full opacity.   I guess this would be classified as a mint green.  It is one of my favorite shades and I have purchased the same colour in different brands.  It looks even better on my toes...so go get some mint green polish and rock it as a pedicure this summer.
